Event Description:

It is estimated that as much as 30% of the population may unknowingly have significant vascular disease. Angioscreen is a 10 minute, painless, non-invasive (no needles or radiation) screening for the risk of heart disease and stroke. <

The screening will include:<

1) Artery Ultrasound - screens for plaque in the carotid arteries the leading cause of strokes<
>
2) EKG of the Heart - Detects Atrial Fibrillation<

3) Ankle Brachial Indexes - Screening for blockage in leg arteries<
>
4) Peak Systolic Velocity (PSV)<
>
5) Blood Pressure in both Arms<

6) Body Mass Index (BMI) <

Following the screening, you will leave with an instant color ultrasound picture printout with data showing your risk of heart disease and stroke. <

The cost for the screening $50. An additional optional Abdominal Aorta Screen, ultrasound for an aneurysm, a ballooning or weakening of the wall of the aorta, may be added for $30
