Weight Loss/Bariatric Surgery support group provides a platform for learning about bariatric or weight loss surgery, pre-and post-operative care, nutrition, exercise, and other relevant topics. The support group is over seen by the dietitian and a clinical provider. The group is a safe space to discuss feelings, challenges, and successes related to weight loss, helping individuals cope with the emotional aspects of the patient's journey. We strongly encourage support group before surgery, and thereafter for life. During support group patients will meet other patients that are one week post op to 7 years post op.
Attendees of the support group are for those having weight loss surgery, people thinking about weight loss surgery or family member of patients.
