This class is designed for mothers (and their partner) who have never attended preparation classes. This class includes an in person tour of the labor and delivery and nursery units. The hospital admission procedures and routines are covered.
This class covers many aspects of pregnancy and childbirth:

- Stages of labor
- Medical interventions
- Cesarean birth
- Pain management options
- Partner's role in labor and delivery
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
- The Recovery Period for Mom and Baby
- Newborn Procedures After Birth
- Newborn Appearance
- Breastfeeding
- Postpartum depression
