Pre-Admission appointments generally run 45-60 minutes in duration. During this free, personal consultation, the OB Pre-Admission Nurse will:
- Address questions and/or/concerns about labor, delivery, and newborn care.
- Collect insurance and demographic information for admission
- Discuss birth preferences/birth plan to customize and coordinate your care upon admission.
- Give a tour of the maternity unit
- Review medical/obstetrical history to begin your hospital chart.
- Review and begin paperwork for hospital stay - including OB Consent form and Birth Certificate worksheet.

The ideal time for your appointment is when you are 32-36 weeks pregnant. However, we do encourage you to schedule in advance as appointments are first come, first serve.
