Event Description:

Diet is thought to be partly responsible for about 30-40% of all cancers. No food or diet can prevent cancer, but some foods make your body the healthiest it can be by boosting your immune system, keeping your risk for cancer as low as possible.

Join Abby Emerick, RD, CD, CSO, registered dietitian at Franciscan Health Cancer Center, as she explains benefits and examples of a healthy diet to help lower your risk for cancer. After the presentation there will be food samples and recipe cards, as well as a copy of the American Cancer Society?s Cancer Prevention Cookbook for all attendees.

Free blood glucose/cholesterol and bone density screenings will be provided.
